Where is Elmswell? Elmswell village is situated in the county of Suffolk, approximately midway between Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich, and is best reached via the A14 main road. Where is Kiln Meadow?
To reach the site from Elmswell village:
From the Church, follow Church Road as far as Spong Lane on the right. Park on Church Road and walk up Spong Lane, following the signs for Footpath 16.
To reach the site from the A14:
Kiln Lane lies just north of the A14 and runs parallel to it. Turn into Kiln Lane from the east bound slip road, direction Stowmarket and Ipswich. Approximately one mile along the lane you will see the gates of the Anglian Water Waste Treatment Works. Park here and follow the signs for Footpath 16. |
