A footpath connects the wildlife site to the village of Elmswell. It runs from Church Road, down Spong Lane, across several fields, skirts round the east and south boundaries of the site, and comes out on Kiln Lane. The footpath is bordered by an ancient hedgerow with many different species, including spindle, growing in it.
